Responsibilities

  • Lead Audio Vision: Develop and implement the overall audio vision, ensuring consistency and excellence across all audio elements.
  • Innovate Sound Design: Create and innovate new sound design techniques and approaches that set industry standards and enhance player engagement.
  • Audio Implementation: Oversee and guide the implementation of audio assets using advanced middleware and custom solutions, ensuring seamless integration with game mechanics.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize cutting-edge audio software and hardware to produce, edit, and optimize audio assets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, programmers, artists, and other departments to ensure cohesive audio integration and alignment with the overall game vision.
  • Project Management: Manage audio-related project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality audio content.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements, technologies, and priorities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in audio design for video games, with a proven track record of leading successful audio projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music, Sound Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of digital audio workstations (DAWs), audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD), and other relevant audio production tools.
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, and Wwise is required.
  • Creative Skills: Exceptional ability to design sound effects and create immersive soundscapes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex audio concepts to non-audio team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Passion: A deep passion for video games and a commitment to delivering world-class audio experiences.

We are seeking a Lead Sound Designer to ensure a cohesive and immersive sound experience. This role is a pivotal force in shaping the auditory landscape of our games. This role will be part of a team that creates groundbreaking audio experiences that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and player immersion. In this role, you will lead the sound design, collaborate with various departments, and drive the overall audio vision. This role requires clear communication skills used to relay key information to the team and stakeholders, and to drive creativity and knowledge sharing. Compensation: Salary Exempt (Estimated Total Compensation - $100,000 - $200,000 base salary with $10,000 - $40,000 in potential bonus) The salary range for this position is set with the intention to attract candidates with diverse experience levels and responsibilities within the role. We will carefully evaluate each applicant's qualifications and contributions during the interview process to determine their final salary, ensuring it aligns with their specific skills and the responsibilities they will undertake.
