Our philosophy

Our passion is building what we call diegetic VR. Creating a world that is full-fledged and thought out is the goal. If we treat it with that respect, it's powerful enough to make everyone believe it. Players should feel immersed, without constant reminders that it's “just a game."
We want it to feel as natural as going out to spending time with friends in an alternate universe. And that's our ultimate objective: to make Another Axiom the "third place" where friends go to hang-out - not just as a game, but as a social community. Social VR can provide that sense of belonging and community in a way that really can’t be done in any other medium.

Kerestell “Lemming” Smith is the creator of Gorilla Tag and founder of Another Axiom, so this is all his fault! Kerestell didn’t set out to make the world’s most successful VR game, but led by his passion and innovation, Gorilla Tag's meteoric success has catapulted Another Axiom into a top-tier VR studio that has grown to more than 50+ employees. As an early adopter and fan of VR, Kerestell is a leading advocate for the rising industry on global stages like Meta Connect and GamesBeat NEXT. And he’s not just a creative innovator, he’s also an esports champion, having captained the Eclipse team to two back-to-back Echo Arena world championships in 2017 and 2018.

David Yee oversees the development and operations at Another Axiom, including the smash-hit VR game, Gorilla Tag, and the upcoming Orion Drift. Before Another Axiom, David led publishing and development teams for Sony, EA, Oculus/Meta, and other major companies from concept to consumer across HD, online, handheld, and VR platforms. He has 30 years of experience in the games industry solving hard problems with talented people at franchises including Everquest, Command & Conquer, Battlefield, and Harmonix, alongside partners such as Insomniac Games, Ready at Dawn, and Valve.

David Neubelt is the CTO at Another Axiom, where he leads the game studio’s overall technology strategy, including infrastructure, pipeline, and software development. Beyond Gorilla Tag, his focus on technological innovation for social gaming experiences is showcased with the studio’s ground-breaking second game, Orion Drift. Previously, Neubelt served in roles such as project lead, programming lead, graphics lead, and tools lead at Ready At Dawn Studios, where he helped shape their next-generation engine and shipped critically acclaimed titles such as Lone Echo, Echo Arena, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Daxter, The Order:1886 and more. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.

Jake Zim is the CMO of Another Axiom, makers of the world’s biggest VR game, Gorilla Tag. In this role, Jake oversees all marketing & communications, licensing & merchandising, creator relations and IP expansion efforts. Jake formerly served as vice president of virtual reality at Sony Pictures Entertainment, overseeing the global XR business for one of the world’s largest entertainment companies. Before Sony, Jake was vice president of digital marketing at Fox where he led the studio’s campaigns for blockbuster movies like Avatar, X-Men and Rio. A recovering movie studio executive with 20 years of Hollywood experience, Jake works closely with the biggest partners in media and entertainment to grow Another Axiom’s game brands and audiences

She's worked on titles such as theBlu and Among Us VR, before landing on GT. Abril is a generalist outside of work with traditional art, creating in many mediums like watercolor, oil, ink, graphite, pastels, ect. In her free time she is surrounded by her parrots, playing video games, arting and/or watching anime while simultaneously listening to music. Ask her what song she's listening to at any time, and she will always have an enthusiastic answer.

A multiple award-winning composer, Jason Hayes is well known for his long-standing relationship with Blizzard Entertainment, contributing music to their games set in the popular worlds of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. He was the original lead composer of World of Warcraft, the most successful massively multiplayer online game of all time. Jason's music has been performed by symphony orchestras all over the world in various concerts including the show "Video Games Live", which debuted at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic, and continues to tour internationally. He's also been a featured speaker for UCLA, USC, the Film Music Network, ASCAP, the Society of Composers and Lyricists, the Game Developers Conference, and the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. Currently he lives in Orange County, California and is the Studio Audio Director of Another Axiom Inc.

When Echo VR was shut down, Jaxon began working on a psychological horror experience loosely tied to the shutdown called "Aqua Arena 2" (a sequel to a university project) shortly before accepting the opportunity to exercise his passion at Another Axiom.

Her extensive portfolio includes notable franchises like The Sims, Forza, FarmVille 2, and several MMORPGs, showcasing her expertise in business, design, and production. As an advocate for players, Jennifer is dedicated to creating great game experiences while fostering inclusive and safe environments for both players and the teams that develop them.

Jonathan has been super fortunate to be part of other amazing VR game teams, most recently on Lone Echo II, Lone Echo, and Echo VR. Before VR, Jonathan worked on What Remains of Edith Finch, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider (2013), and tLotR:tBfMEII:tRotWK, which once held the record for longest game title. Jonathan produced online games at Sesame Street and co-wrote 3 novels for kids, including The Postman Always Brings Mice.
